Word for the Year

“[1] We are convinced that even if these bodies we live in are folded up at death like tents, we will still have a God-built home that no human hands have built, which will last forever in the heavenly realm. [2] We inwardly sigh as we live in these physical “tents,” longing to put on a new body for our life in heaven, [3] in the belief that once we put on our new “clothing” we won’t find ourselves “naked.” [4] So, while living in this “tent,” we groan under its burden, not because was want to die but because we want these new bodies. We crave for all that is mortal to be swallowed up by eternal life. [5] And this is no empty hope, for God himself is the one who has prepared us for this wonderful destiny. And to confirm this promise, he has given us the Holy Spirit, like an engagement ring, as a guarantee. [6] That’s why we’re always full of courage. Even while we’re at home in the body, we’re homesick to be with the Master – [7] for we live by faith, not by what we see with our eyes. [8] We live with a joyful confidence, yet at the same time we take delight in the though of leaving our bodies behind to be at home with the Lord. [9] So whether we live or die we make it our life’s passion to live our lives pleasing him. [10] For one day we will all be openly revealed before Christ on his throne so that each of us will be duly recompensed for our actions done in life, whether good or worthless. [11] Since we are those who stand holy awe of the Lord, we make it our passion to persuade others to turn to him. We know that our lives are transparent before the God who knows us fully, and I hope that we are also well known to your consciences.”

2 Corinthians 5:1-11 TPT

Our Core Principles

THE CHRISTIAN
FUNDAMENTALS

ABOUT GOD

As revealed unto us by the Bible, we believe that there is only one God, Who is the Creator of both visible and invisible creatures -Gen. 1:1; Ps. 86:9-10; Is. 43:10-11; John 1:1-3. Only God will be in existence forever. Ez. 3:14; in God every creature receives life -John 5:26.

ABOUT JESUS CHRIST

We believe that He is the Son of God; Who took away our sins, and the Savior of the world. We also believe that Jesus is God and was born by Mary the Virgin. He is God revealed in the flesh. Through Him all things were created, John 1:1-14. He is the way, truth and life, John 14:6.

ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the third Person in the TRINITY. He has the same power, the same glory with God the Father and God the Son – John 14:16-17; John 15:26; Matt. 3:16; Acts 13:24. He is one with Father and the Son who is to be worshiped and served.

ABOUT MAN

God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life, and man became a living soul – Gen 2:7. Man is of three parts, namely body, soul and spirit. He is God’s ambassador on earth, in control over all other creatures on His behalf on earth.
A Call to Help the Needy

As a church family, we are reminded daily of the heart of God toward the poor, the vulnerable, and the needy among us. The Word of God is clear: our faith is not complete unless it is expressed in love, compassion, and generosity.

Proverbs 11:25 declares: “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.” When we extend our hands to those in need, God Himself promises to pour back into our lives blessings beyond measure.

Similarly, Proverbs 28:27 says: “Those who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many curses.” Our responsibility goes beyond sympathy—it requires action. The Lord expects us to be His hands and feet, meeting needs not only in our local communities here in the UK, but also across nations where poverty, hunger, and lack continue to affect millions.

Job 29:1–12 paints a vivid picture of the life of a man who pleased God through compassion: “Because I rescued the poor who cried for help, and the fatherless who had none to assist them. The one who was dying blessed me; I made the widow’s heart sing.” This was Job’s testimony—not only of righteousness in prayer, but of righteousness in practical deeds.

At The Builders House Church, we believe we are called to do the same:

  • To clothe the naked.
  • To feed the hungry.
  • To provide support for the widow, the orphan, and the vulnerable.
  • To stand as light in dark places, showing the love of Christ in action.

This mission requires not only willing hearts, but also resources. That is why we are calling for voluntary donations from everyone who believes in this vision. No gift is too small. Each seed you sow is an investment in lives, in hope, and in eternity.

Jesus Himself said in Matthew 25:40: “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Let us not only hear the Word but live it. Let us rise as builders—not only of churches, but of lives, families, and communities across the nations.

Ways You Can Help:

  • Pray earnestly for the poor and the nations in need.
  • Give voluntarily and generously to support outreach and missions.
  • Partner with us in service and action to spread the love of Christ.

Together, we can make a lasting impact. Together, we can be the hands of Jesus extended to the world.
